Aha, very interesting. Apparently Dead Logic are going to be the support band for Kane this autumn... could be a rather embarrassing mix-up for the Liverpool Echo *snerk* CK is no JM and DB! But hey, they are all buddies; who knows who will be singing what with whom and where! ;D

Who knows, the karaoke "Mandy" may have been an in-joke and DB might sing like a canary nightingale in RL ;D

*snerk* certainly can't imagine him singing like an angel! ;D Oh, okay, okay, that was lame and unfunny. Seriously, though... I, um, don't take this the wrong way, but, um, hope he's NOT singing...

Apparently Steve Himber says it is def NOT happening. Lots of red faces at the Liverpool Echo then, hee ;D Tsk, journalists used to check and double check sources and facts once upon a time

I read this on MTS earlier today but didn't have time (thanks RAC!) to look for it at the band's site. Found it tonight: OFFICIAL DEADLOGIC STATEMENT:
We are aware of the recent article in the Liverpool Echo, reporting that we are doing a tour with David Boreanaz and James Marsters in November 2004. We wish to make it clear that DEADLOGIC are indeed planning to tour in November 2004 but with neither Mr Boreanaz nor Mr Marsters. We assume the confusion has arisen because the band we are touring with, KANE, are linked to the Angel programme as the lead singer is Christian Kane from that show, and both Mr Boreanaz and Mr Marsters are also in the country at the same time.
The dates for the tour are still to be confirmed and final details are still being put into place. We will of course inform people here once details are confirmed and they will also be posted on the KANE Website www.kanemusic.com
The article came about after a family friend tried to help us out by speaking to the Echo on our behalf. When we had learned of this, we quickly moved to "fill in any blanks" that may have appeared due to the Echo getting information "second hand." We stressed to the Echo that the tour was "still to be confirmed" and that David and Jame's appearance at London only was just a "strong rumour" and nothing more.
Without hopefully sounding patronising, we were hoping that the story would we centred around some exciting university gigs we have coming up with The Killers and Hundred Reasons. This was due to being asked not to say anything about the "forthcoming tour."
But, for whatever reason, The Echo decided to run the story in the way they did.
We're not angry with the Echo, because it's our "local newspaper" and we were more than proud to appear in what we know is a great paper, although when we saw the article, we knew the trouble it would cause.
We will be speaking to The Echo this week, in the hope of clearing up the situation.
Thanks for your patience.
Deadlogic. www.deadlogic.com/mainframe.htm (then click on forum; The Band section; Anywhenever - they didn't make it easy, lol!) So, it was a possibility that JM and DB would be in London, at any rate.... interesting that it was even a glimmer.

Go directly there - click hereSmart arse! I was trying to show how they had posted a good statement but snuck it away in a hard to find place instead of plastered somewhere prominent. All the publicity, and the extra traffic to their site, won't be doing the band any harm, will it. Heh! - PK
PS - Cy denies being a smart arse, lol! It's a term of endearment, trust me!

Just to let you know I have moved some of the reports from the gigs early in the year down to the Basement Archives where they can still be viewed and added to.
I am leaving the threads re Ghost of the Robot CDs here for now, but hopefully some day we'll have new James Marsters CDs about which to comment!
If anyone would like to discuss what type of music you'd like to hear James sing in the future, what you'd love to see on an album or have him perform at Halloween (if he has gotten over the surprise of learning that he is actually scheduled to do so!) by all means start a thread for that.

Love him to bits, but he's a bloody eejit sometimes. I've said before and will say again... singing isn't like acting. Acting, you're someone else. Singing, you're more yourself than at any other time, you ARE digging right down into your soul to all the pain, anger, love, hate, joy that's deep inside you, and yes, it's bloody hard to do in front of people (though I confess, it does actually give me a kick sometimes!). Two years of singing lessons is not that much. I've had 5 year, on and off, and although I'm blessed with a decent voice, I know that I could improve so much more if I actually did more, took more lessons, practised more, concentrated more... two years is nothing where singing's concerned! And he could do it if he wanted to, he DOES have the voice. 'Kay, I'll get off the now. Glad you liked the CD, Ditto. And I hope he does release a CD all of his own soon. Hehe... I could offer to give him singing lessons...! I'm qualified up to grade 5, I think... *snerk*
