But the act is soo feckin' good! He IS a good singer, and I'm prepared to beat the living daylights out of anyone who says he isn't. Hey, I'm a singer, I get wobbles, notes crack, I get a frog in my throat, sing the odd duff note out of tune. That doesn't make me a bad singer, it makes me human. Where's me scalpel to go shred the evil tongues who said such stupid and ignorant things?! Getting off now! lol. And you know I wouldn't really shred anyone. Just bite a little...

I have said a number of times, if you want to talk about the "new" band you can start a thread in Artie-Fartie. This one will be deleted in due course.

Interesting snippet from sandyd at MTS about James' musical future... Read all of her report HEREI really really hope he does release them, infact how great it would be if he brought out an album of all his compositions

OMG, YES!!!! Yeah... acoustic does sound better for his voice than hard rock, it's true. And I like both anyway, so guess who'd be a happy little Pixie! I love his songs... here's hoping he releases a solo album Bet we could make it go platinum, eh? or at least give it a go...

A big hip-hip-hooray on the 'acoustic' comment. Couldn't agree more and would love to hear him do this type of music...as you all know...I dearly love 'Chocolate Jesus' and have heard him solo on other numbers...hope he does it.

Oh God what wouldn't I give for an album of acoustic James ,, and to have Katie and Bad and maybe another version of Goodnight Sweet Girl and Over Now .. I know he doesn't do " Smile " Or Angel" any more but I can dream can't I .. and a few nice croony covers .. mmmm something to listen to on the long dark winteres evenings ( Deb who has the lurgie and has found that a blanket, a sofa, a mug of lemsip and James reading Stormfront are the best medicine but a James acoustic album would effect a miracle cure in no time!")

I'll prolly take mine (my mum's, actually!) - problem is, I'm right-handed, and James is a leftie, so he might have just a couple of problems with that. Might be diverting, but we might not get that much music out of him.
Anyone got a leftie guitar? I REALLY don't want to unstring and restring my guitar twice over (because, apart from anything else, I'm not good with guitar strings. Violin strings, yes. Guitar strings, no).

Actually, I think I've seen pics of him playing right-handed.

Someone definitely should take a guitar because James offered to play for us in Melbourne but no-one had one We had to be content with him singing Britney Spears

Right. If someone can confirm Cy's right-handed guitar-playing sightings (like posting a pic somewhere...? Ahem, sorry, just like to drool over pics!), then I will be sure to take guitar with me. James Marsters sings Britney? My God, how funny would that have been?! Perhaps we should request a rendition just for a chuckle. ;D Sorry, I know, I'm irrepressible. 'S what comes of being a DG...

Okey-dokey, will do. Would be great to hear him sing again... and I'm sure he and Conchita will get along fine.
(Conchita is the name of the guitar, in case you're wondering - lovely Spanish acoustic guitar to whom I am very much attached. All my musical instruments have names).

There's no need to post any pics here of James playing guitar. There are plenty to be seen in the first few pages of the Musical James album. And yes, he plays guitar in the regular fashion, not like Paul McCartney

Sensible man. Actually, I checked one of my own photos of him playing the guitar, and realised that I should already have known that he plays right-handed, but I am a bear of very little brain, and it simply hadn't registered - even though I see it every time I go home to my parents'... I'm so dumb.

x-posted to the Halloween convention thread. Exciting news! MUSIC OF THE NIGHT
Halloween will see James Marsters back in fine singing form.
The music-loving actor will be offering a Halloween serenade as one of the highlights of the Saturday night special.
James proved his singing ability on 's Buffy The Vampire Slayer in the musical episode Once More With Feeling and was also lead singer of Californian indie rock band Ghost Of The Robot.
He has played to packed houses in America and Europe and, in fact, has two sell-out tours of Europe under his belt. He has been writing songs since he was a young teen and his wide musical tastes range from Bob Dylan, The Clash and Nirvana to Norah Jones and Coldplay.
James will be packing his guitar for an acoustic set during the Halloween weekend and is looking forward to singing again. He says: "There's a real buzz singing in front of an audience."
Admission to the musical special IS INCLUDED in the cost of the Halloween weekend ticket.
