Okay, I'm ostensibly at work now but.... Listening to the GOTR EP I bought last night. Damn those Ghosts! After all my recent digs about their recorded material... this bloody thing rocks and is beautifully produced! It's Nothing, Runaway, and This Town are clear, uncluttered and real. Hey, I even like She Likes Rap Grooves - words made me laugh! Pre-war is some weird ass shit that you need to listen to... answerphone stuff, LMAO!

We're sorted now on the EP front. I have played this CD loads and am loving it. Thanks for proving me wrong you naughty Ghosts! Runaway has slowly crept up on me and I love it now I love the vocal ups and downs of It's Nothing, and SLRG still makes me laugh (and my buttocks dance in my typing chair, as they are doing right now... which is possibly not the effect Mr De Mars was hoping for...) But My Town... it is so wistful, evocative, full of hope which you can't help feeling was lost. It takes me to a certain time and place in the writer's life and makes me feel sad for him. I may be way off base with that, but that's where it takes me, so I won't elaborate. But it is wonderful, and beautiful.

Oh, damn you all, I'm gonna have to and buy it now, sod the postage! Wish I'd had more cash with me on Friday. Argh! Might see if there's anything else I want while I'm at it, might as well not pay postage twice! Hm. What else might I want to buy...? Any suggestions?

Another one... might do. One to wash, one to wear. Hm, a good suggestion.
Might have to get another copy of Mad Brilliant - Laura might like a copy of her own, and it's her b'day in September!
At this rate, I'll be buying one of everything, lol! Maybe not a good idea to do that all at once!

;D I loooove 'This Town', and SLRG is great to jiggle along to when I'm cooking/burning dinner! Have to admit that I play these 2 constantly, although the other songs are good...these 2 call to me! V has even started to sing along with me to 'This Town', and my mate Sharon thought SLRG was by Eminem when she called round LOL

This thread is about the EP the band released to sell on their recent European tour, and word is that they will sell it online as well. Someone will no doubt post the info when it is available. A couple of the tracks will be on the new album (which they hope will be ready sorta Septemberish). There are other threads for their other CDs, and for news and info.

And guess who is kicking herself for not having bought it at the Forum? Pixie with black-and-blue legs swearing furiously at herself. They'd better sell it online, or I shall be very very cross. GRRRRRRR!!!! How STUPID am I?! lol

I've gotta say I really love this cd haven't stopped playing it since I got back from London. Paul is even getting hooked on it and can be heard singing This Town. He said today that it was one of the best he's heard and could easily make the charts * praise indeed coming from him * ;D I've gotta agree with you PK on the meaning of the song This Town it came to my mind straight away when I heard it. Also I know Pre-War is a touch strange but after listening to it for the zillionth time I think they are actually taking the piss out of themselves. We know they have always struggled with there schedule and getting together for practise and recording. I can just imagine them calling James all the time and getting his answerphone. Ok probably just my warped imagination but that's what it seems to me. ;D
