Made time this afternoon to watch this ep (thanks Sue, the tape was just fine!) for the first time in a long time. Aaaah, it was a good show. Another one messed around by the terrestrial schedulers. I lost track of it way too soon, due to it being shifted and then dropped. And it was good to see that my original opinions of the ep and James' performance still held true, now I am out of the early flush of crushdom! Frightening and heartbreaking by turns, James is a master if vulnerable meance! Although of course, the Millennium group are far scarier and misguided than poor Eric could ever be (and so was the daughter "victim"... did daddy train her to able to take care of business so well?!). But I guess they both believed they were right.... No prizes for guessing whose side I was on, and not because of James.

I've just finished watching the James parts that a mozzie was nice enough to put up... but I wish I could have seen the whole thing, since I have no idea what was going on! I'd seen a few screencaps before, but there were some scenes that I would have definitely capped that nobody has yet! Like him putting the gun in the front of his pants... rrroooaawwwrr!! ;D *puts up bugger.you shield* Though these suck and they usually only steal the good stuff.

Capped like a true Dirty Girl! Season 3 (which is where James' episode comes from) is coming out on DVD in the UK on October 25th, and is available for pre-ordering now at Amazon, for just £29-99 - Direct linkI am tempted, as I did like the show, but it was mucked about in the schedules here on terrestrial . And my video copy is fine, thanks to sueworld, but DVD would be sharp! ;D

Oh I forgot about this but a friend of mine is a big Millennium fan and asked me to find him a website with ep descriptions on. Anyway I came across a really good one called Millennium Abyss. I went to check out the ep with James in and came across this. Now I'm not sure if this has been put up before if it has I'm sorry. Guest star James Marsters, who appears here as enraged veteran Eric Swan, is best known for portraying the vampire Spike on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and its spin-off, Angel. Says Marsters about his Millennium appearance, "I was really honored because I noticed that the lead, Lance, I noticed him in Alien 2, you know, and he broke my heart. In that movie, I mean, how can you break a guy’s heart in the middle of all that blood? You know, but he’s really one of the best actors we have. And I went on [Millennium] and the whole crew, the show is a lot like Buffy in that it strays toward cinema. It tries to be as good as a movie, and what that means is that everyone works really hard. This is the joke name of Buffy in Hollywood: Buffy the Weekend Slayer. Because we start at 4:00 in the morning on Monday and we leave the set about 6:00 in the morning on Saturday. And with Millennium, it’s just that much. The joke about Millennium was that there’s two shots for every shot that they use. They shoot many more set-ups than they even cut to. And everyone was apologizing to me: 'Sorry we’re not nicer, we’re just kinda stressed out right now.' And, I don’t know, I’ve never seen people work harder and be nicer about it, and I was honored to be on the set frankly."

It was fantastic on the big screen at Halloween. I really enjoyed it (again). Still soooo sad though, poor Eric. Thing is, it's still happening! James was magnificent in this role. Shame about her wrists at the end but you can't have everything. Lack of continuity again, I thought they took stills to ensure everything was the same in each shot? Stupid peeps. You'd think that actress would have said, "How come my wrists aren't all bloody in this scene?" I bet Juliet Landau would have done....

Yeah... I felt sorry for him, cos you could tell he didn't really want her to die... and it was kinda 'aw' when he loosened the wrist ties because they were hurting her...
