James is a natural, if "Storm Front" is anything to go by. The amount of passion, depth and variety in his reading.. well, it wasn't like a reading at all. It was like being there with all the characters... The second book in the Dresden Files series, Fool Moon, is also going to be recorded by James - woohoo!! And the author, Jim Butcher, seemed to think it would be out in time for him to be signing copies at DragonCon, which is in August! Well, it is said that James recorded the first one - all 8 CDs of it - in around two days, so anything is possible! I am almost finished reading this one, and I must say, I am really looking forward to hearing James pant, or at the very least, breathe heavily... ;D

The author was talking about it being ready in time for Dragon*Con, which is the end of August. Don't think they'll bring it out before that. They launched "Storm Front" at a con last year, too. And both Jim and James will be at Dragon*Con, so that's kinda

Please hold off from making any international orders. All U.S. orders are processing and the merchandise is ready for pre-orders.

Thanks PokerKitten I'll probably hang on too. In the meantime, I'll just have to keep playing the 'Susan & Harry' clip over & over. Nothing of course to do with the fact that, when I hear James whisper my name, in that slow burning, simmering seduction.. my brain turns to mush..

I just wanted to say that Fool Moon is great so far! ;D A couple of ladies from Buzzy were at Dragoncon and when I mentioned that I had ordered mine online, one of them was nice enough to give me my audio now and just not send it when it's released next week.....she didn't even charge me for it since I paid with a credit card online....how about that for niceness and trusting? She remembered my name, too, lol, which helped! So I was able to have Jim Butcher sign it and later, James Marsters! Btw...Jim Butcher is much better looking in person....and younger looking, too....very nice.... didn't get to talk with him much cos he was very popular.....that's great!! Oh, I even got a Buzzy tote bag, cos I bought the audio book.... ;D

Go Buzzy, go Buzzy! Cool people ;D My audio "Fool Moon" arrived this morning from Forbidden Planet, not bad at all considering I ordered it quite late in the day. I am listening to it right now and James was well into his stride by chapter 2. I love the way he deepens his voice for these recordings, all the better to perfom the women excellently when he goes higher for them, of course. Bloody hell, the way he says "bitch!" and "Bianca"..... *thunk*

Honey, you get to our time of life and all the banks are begging you - literally every day - to have theirs! It's a real pain in the ass! Couldn't a relative or friend order for you and you give them the money?

Jim B gave this response on McAnally's, when someone asked about the prosepct of James doing the third book: The Ladies Williams, who run Buzzy Multimedia have absolutely been talking to James' agent, though. So far, everyone is amicable about doing the Grave Peril project, but I doubt that James is gonna have anything like copious spare time for several months at least. I mean, if the publisher decided today that the Dresden Files were gonna be canceled, I'd still have almost two years of work left. James' time is, or so I hear, filled up and scheduled months and months in advance. Between , various appearances, his band and actually having some kind of life of his own he's a pretty busy guy. He might be way too busy to record this year, but I think everyone on all sides is hoping that there will be time enough to spare for recording Grave Peril.
I'm still hopeful and positive, but talks are still ongoing, and until folks settle down to sign papers it hasn't happened yet. But on the up side, this isn't any different than the first two books, so I'm hoping the third deal will work out as well. The audio deals are really pretty fun for me. I don't have to contribute too terribly much to the project--other than, you know, the book. My role is pretty much to provide information and clarification on pronounciations to Team Williams, to sign my name on a couple of pieces of paper, and then to stay the heck out of June and Joy's way while they do their job--which is the whole rest of the project.
June and Joy rock. I'm confident that they'll continue to release really excellent productions, regardless of who winds up reading them. But just between ya'll and me, I am also REALLY hoping James keeps doing the readings. He really throws his heart and passion into his work, and I loved how he's done the first two.
Jim

Well, I think our boy may just possibly have more time on his hands soon, so hopefully Grave Peril will be out on audio, with James reading sooner rather than later ;D
