Al Septien & Turi Meyer wrote the episode directed by Jeannot Swarc.I only saw bits, but as I've not watched the last 4 eps before it...

This is the kind of episode I really like. Comic book style with the main story, and giving us lots of smiles at the pointers to Clark's future life. And yet carrying on the themes and emotions from previous episodes. I loved the way Lex handled his father This hard for me to admit, but I'm starting to warm to Lana, even when she isn't playing in Lex scenes She's a sweet girl; that was a lovely thing she did for Clark Hasn't Martha suffered enough with losing her husband, without being mugged an then hit on (again) by slimy DaddyLuthor? Poor woman And I thought Tom did much better this week with the emotional stuff - the repression, the guilt, and at last the grief. And bugger me, but they made me cry with the final scene, showing Jonathan's home movies and Clark finally breaking down

That last scene brought more tears to my eyes than Daddy Kents dying scenes did last week Also bringing tears to my eyes was the dreadful acting of the masked avenger ;D

I didn't really mind the masked avenger - she looked the part, and there was a lot of other good stuff going on to distract me ;D
