Afternoon ladies, it’s absolutely lovely out today 🌤 just back from picking up mums prescription and there was quite a few people going about, I suppose that’ll be the start of the ‘tourist’ season 😄 I popped into the Co-oP too and I’d no sooner walked through the door and my phone went 🙄 it was G wanting to know where I was because he was at our house and there was no one in 😐 I know I don’t go out very often, but why my kids can’t just call beforehand just in case is beyond me, E does the same thing too 🙄
M my mum used to read a lot and do crosswords, but she obviously can’t do either now. I did look out my old CD player for her to listen to music or books, but so far she’s not used it. Love the sound of the little ones at the concert high fiving 😁
Hope you get finished early Pluto as you appear to be in weekend mode already 😃. I’m poorless at the ‘No Iron Maiden’ instruction to Howie 😂🤣
Glad you’re feeling better on the low carb diet Ditto, enjoy the rest of the day 🤗
The Tu range is quite good isn’t it Rainbow, glad you got some bargains 🤗

evening Completely exhausted and have a big pile of ironing Back later.... ETA gave up on the ironing, it can wait until tomorrow, sorted out most of my holiday clothes, checked in online for flights and booked my hold luggage and car park and printed all the documents so all organised and ready. S isn't home yet which is unusual but he may have gone Easter egg shopping Sleep well everyone

Hey! All go, Rainbow! It's exciting but exhausting packing for a trip...sounds like you have it under control, but won't the ironing just get rumpled in the suitcases? I bring rumpled, lol, and iron in the room! Have fun, post lots of pics! Pluto, you made me lol with Howie's dress code...sister in law probably knows him well enough to expect a band tshirt, so will be surprised! I hope you all have a wonderful visit! The Easter display sounds nice, reminds me of when the kids were little, used to love to decorate with decals and little glass bunnies. Still have them out on the shelf, some belonged to Mindy and Travis, but they didn't want them when they moved out, so I kept them. Gotta love tiny bunnies dressed in their Sunday best, lol! Ditto, good for you with the low carb...I've gone back on it mostly, it makes me feel better, more energy with no bread! I allow myself a carb meal once or twice on the weekend, but no sugar. Going to miss it for Easter, but I got some Atkin's low carb candy...it is pricey, but good. I really feel for your mom with the rash, just having had poison ivy on my arms about drove me nuts, so I can't imagine all over! Do none of the traditional medicine work? Calomine or aloe vera with lidocaine? That last ones numbs it a bit. Didn't you say the doctor came to see her? What was the diagnosis? Teebs, do you all have any Easter traditions that are Scottish? Bunny in a kilt? Love a man in a kilt, a bunny would be just too cute! LOL! It must make for a long day for your mom without the usual day time activities we all are used to. Deedee, have a good weekend! Sending good thoughts to all...hugs!

Good morning How exciting Rainbow. It's great to be all set to go Are you seeing family today? I always roll my clothes when packing. It does help a bit. M, I've put the ban on the IM t shirt because of going to the posh hotel near Mayfair to meet his s i l No doubt it will be full of tourists dressed low key but I'd be mortified if he and I stood out like sore thumbs Your Easter ornaments sound adorable. I wish I'd bought the one I was looking at in John Lewis. All mine are from Poundland I need to start a special collection like with the C word ones. Ditto, has your mum tried anti histamines or is it a very specific rash. I use Cetirizine when I have a flare up. Catch you all later

Howie has an interview for that job he applied for, Data Centre Operative for the Bank of England He's very nervous though. Ditto I was talking about the special ornaments I have for that festival on 25th December but didn't want to say the C word Just me being too cryptic. I recorded David Attenborough. I said to Howie I want to come back from our visit via Oxford Cir us so I can shake the demonstrators hands. Good for them! Have a lovely day at son's

Thank you DeeDee This is the saddest of times and we are devastated to lose our wonderful PK, Mistress of the Board. She has brought so many of us together over the years through our love of Buffy and Spike. She will be so badly missed If anyone hasn't been around for a while do come on and join us in remembering PK.

Thank you Deedee very well said 🤗
I’m not quite sure how to convey the shock and heartbreak at losing our dearest PK. She introduced me to a group of amazing ladies and I’ll always treasure the times we spent together. We had some good long conversations and many laughs together whenever I stayed with her.
Like all the other ‘Dirty Girls’ I will miss her greatly 😔😢

Thank you DeeDee for contacting me. I'm still struggling to accept she's gone. I keep thinking about the time I stayed with her back in 2007. One night we watched non-stop episodes of Torchwood, which I'd never seen, while eating Chinese food. The next night was Eurovision, and we laughed our arses off, firstly, because I cooked salmon and somehow didn't manage to burn the house down and secondly, well it was Eurovision, lol. It seems a lifetime ago now, but the memories will never fade. She will be missed, but she will forever have a place in our hearts.

It is so hard to accept this awful news. PK was the heart of our group and the reason, through Pluto, that l made some amazing online friends. I have very happy memories of the first time we met in person in Coventry when Marilyn flew over. Bloody Spikeless has been part of my life for such a long time and helped me through some difficult times. It's hard to imagine it without PK but l hope we can keep going in her memory
PK's Mum is going to let us know when the funeral is and would love it if some of us could go. It won't be for a couple of weeks yet due to the bank holidays. I feel so sad for her, you should not outlive your children. She said she and PK's lovely friend D are looking after each other

If anyone has Erica's mum's address, could you please DM me here or on FB. I obviously can't attend the funeral, but I would like to send a card. Thanks x

When I get home (I'm on holiday at the moment), I will binge watch Torchwood in her honour. xx

I've been putting off coming on here today because it's so hard to acknowledge that PK is gone, she was a really important person to me. She, and several of our original members, encouraged me to make my first trip to England to see James Marsters in Blackpool in 2002. It was a defining time for me, making new friends, finding people who enjoyed the same things as me, like Buffy, and Dr Who, and Torchwood. She'll always be in my heart, and deeply missed.

I feel the same way, M. I still can't believe she's gone. I know I haven't been active on this forum in a very long time, but we still connected via FB. She will definitely be missed. She brought us all together from the original forum to this one, and because of that, I made some lifelong friends. She was the glue that kept us all together, and I will forever be thankful for that.
