On our way from Ikea to Port Solent for dinner. Dreadful traffic for rush hour. Glad I'm not driving!

Hello all 😃
I could have sworn I’d posted yesterday, jings I get worse 🙄
Hey PK sorry to hear you’re having trouble with your hands I hope they’re better now 🤗
How’s the new mattress Deedee? Hopefully you’ll be sleeping in your bed now, you’re sure to feel the benefit 😊
Jings M you and B should get a season ticket for the cinema 😉 it’s a great escape though and there appear to be some good movies around 😊 We’ve nothing planned for the weekend, but it’s supposed to be nice weather so we might go for a run in the car 😃
Are you feeling better now Pluto, you’re having an awful time of it 🤗. Our kids had a couple of days of this week, not exactly half-term. Riley and Harrison were here on Monday for a visit 😊
Rainbow hope you’re not feeling as rough now, enjoy your dinner this evening 🤗
Did you manage to get into the garden Ditto? It was so sad to hear about Peter Tork 😢 I loved the Monkees when I was young, in fact my first single was Aleternate Title 🎶🎵

I loved The Monkees too, but only had eyes for Davy Jones when I was a wee PK. Their telly show was off the wall 😺I remember being on holiday just outside Whitby with the parentals and my aunt, uncle and very young cousin who used to follow me about. And I used to make him chant 'Davy, Micky, Mike and Petey' for no particular reason 😺
My hands have been much better today, thanks. I did some finger and wrist exercises before I got up and that seems to have helped keep my rigid digits uncurled.
Being someone who has bladder issues I can empathise with you Pluto. Did your family meeting go well? And DeeDee, there seems to be a lot of queasiness, actual vomiting, and upset stomachs going around. Glad that you are improving somewhat.
Marilyn, you are making me remember fondly the days when I used to go to the cinema a few times a week. It was a bit cheaper if you could go in the afternoon which is how I could manage so many visits. And I may well have occasionally snuck out of work on some pretext or other in order to catch the more arty or indie movies that the Odean over the road showed on a Thursday only.
Rainbow, were you in IKEA for buying or browsing?
Teebs, spontaneous jaunts out are the best. With any luck the weather will be good enough to tempt you. So many lovely places to go in your area.
Oh, and my dobber is a pen with a spongy end for prodding my phone and tablet screens 😺

Hey! Pluto, I hope you had a good day with your brother and sister, even though it wasn't for a fun visit. Did you actually get to see the fly by? That's so cool, I actually watched the video earlier. I had no idea that had happened, and I started crying when the old gentleman talked about seeing it crash, and believing the pilot landed in the trees to avoid hitting him and his friends. Very special man! We have a beautiful WWII museum in New Orleans that has a B 17 plane displayed in it. If you're brave, you can walk a catwalk and check it out! We went there for my bil's retirement ceremony from the Navy, and I didn't get to see it all, but it's a beautiful memorial to all services. I hope you're sleeping better, and feeling better, too! Lmao, as PK says, those of us with a weak bladder, I know what it is to cough and pee a little!! PK, I remember you were still going when we first met! The first movie in the morning here is only $5 so not too bad, plus I had birthday comps so money off tickets, and free popcorn and drink! It's their Stubs club card perks! It would be good if you could do the Netflix thing, and watch so many old and new movies! Maybe when you get your flat...any luck with that? Remind me, you're looking closer to your mom, right? Rainbow, shopping at Ikea for you or family? Glad you had a good day! Deedee, don't give up on getting a going to bed routine going! I hope tonight is even better! Teebs. nice to have the kiddies visit...is there an occasion for their break? Gabe has a week off for Mardi Gras...used to be just until the Wednesday, but a lot of the families use the time off to go on vacation to get away from the Mardi Gras craziness! So now they get a week off, but the schools have cut back on half days to make up the difference, and it's better for wrking parents of small kids who would have to find day care for that half day. I hope the weather is good so you can an nice outing! We had a dry day today, wooo! Still really warm for February, but at least it didn't rain! Take care all...hugs!

Good morning I'm hoping we get some sunshine today. It's been really chilly and foggy here. Happy gardening Ditto I hope the new visiting days work out well for you. I don't know if Howie saw that Who thing but I expect so. He's always in the know! He has several DVD's where lost episodes have been replaced with graphic drawings but the actual voices. Really strange to watch. Teebs, 'a run in the car' sounds so nostalgic for some reason. Hope the weather is lovely for you Details Rainbow, details! PK, it's good to hear that some finger and wrist exercises have helped your hand mobility DeeDee, persevere with the mattress if you can Hope you are recovered from the sickness now. Lmao, as PK says, those of us with a weak bladder, I know what it is to cough and pee a little!! I'm at the Niagara Falls stage still M, I saw the fly past on the , being a few hundred miles away from the area. It was very emotional The Science Museum in London has catwalks to get up close to the planes. It's one of my favourite areas. Back later, Antonia's on her way!!!!

morning You sound a bit more chirpy Pluto, how was the meeting? Lovely time at Ikea with R and A looking at things for their new house but not buying too much as they are still waiting to exchange. I took Grandbaby off to the children's area when he got bored. He kept saying what a lovely day he was having. We didn't have dinner til 7 and got home at 10 so a very late night for him. I bought an orchids for R, some sandwich bags and a glass teapot for infusions, going to try my chocolate peppermint Are you having a weekend at home Pluto? Hope you had a better night Deedee, l need Lion King info, taking No 2 daughter for 30th birthday but can't afford the most expensive seats, any suggestions for best place to sit in the cheaper areas? Hoping to do some gentle gardening today. I have lots of seeds to plant. My bulbs have all come up so they are out of the summer house getting some air Have a lovely day everyone

Rainbow, I too was thinking about a glass teapot because of the Jasmine Z gave us! Sounds like a lovely day did A stay awake the whole time? I hope the exchange goes through soon, though I suppose the Easter holidays could be a good time though. Try and get an aisle seat for Lion King as it's goosebumps when they walk through. The meeting was long and tortuous. Even my brother found it intense. I think they despair of my lack of mortgage awareness. I tried to blame it on being but it didn't work. We went through loads of paperwork and studied mum's bank account. She has a missing pension that didn't get sorted properly so my brother will chase that up. All her Attendance Allowance is stuck in the Post Office so I need to ring DWP. I'm still worried that I will not be able to afford anywhere to live. The house needs to go on the market by November! I do feel chirpier although I am still coughing, blowing my nose, headache and taste buds shot! I may do a quick supermarket shop but not up for much else. Enjoy your gardening Rainbow

morning Hope you had a better night Deedee, l need Lion King info, taking No 2 daughter for 30th birthday but can't afford the most expensive seats, any suggestions for best place to sit in the cheaper areas? Darn I had a fail Rainbow I fell to sleep in my chair well before 3am and woke up at 7.30 but I had a good sleep I shall go to bed tonight Yay Lion King it depends on what day time and dates would you want the stalls or royal circle that's where Ditto Alicia and I sat once I have also sat at the very very back with Auntie Rene once and you can still see from there but there is no lift to there that's when I could walk what date are you thinking of going also some ticket sellers are cheaper than the others I like ATG tickets ETA. This is an example of tickets for 16th May 7pm performance atg.nliven.co/tickets/series/lionking/the-lion-king-144055?startDate=05-16-2019#mapViewhope everyone has a good day it's foggy here , now it's lovely and sunny at 11pm hugs to everyone

This is for July 21st matinee Rainbow atg.nliven.co/tickets/series/lionking/the-lion-king-161601?startDate=07-21-2019#mapViewin the stalls seat R37 and 36 are 79.50 R8 and R9 are near toilet people will be going in front of you while show is on but R35 and R34 will be 92.00 R row has an isle in front of it has good leg room if you see seating chart you will see what I mean in Royal Circle the right hand side is better that's where the lift is you may like the front but I can't remember if there is a bar to restrict your view seats around 87.50 still in RC I think these are the seats me and Ditto had H2 and H3 they are 69.50 I think there is booking tax to be put on but these are cheaper than some of the tickets at other sites I'm thinking of going this year in May cause I didn't go last year went to Disneyland Paris twice hope you're able to book soon and I know you will enjoy the show hugs to everyone

Oh boy, those top tickets are expensive!
Having an okay day. I should be doing a flat search right now so I'll get a wriggle on. Yes, I am looking at places near mum but they would have to be to rent given West Sussex prices. But I am prepared to cast my net wide.
Pluto, these are the times when internet grocery shopping comes into its own. Much better than trying to drag an ailing body round a supermarket.

That's really helpful Dee Dee. I've sent the link to both daughters as E wants to come too but she'll have to pay for herself
Which bit of West Sussex are you looking at PK? Very near your Mum or wider?

PK, we did do an online shop last week but I needed to test myself out, so to speak. Also, we had forgotten several key items! The test proved I still have a way to go. It was nice to bump into Rainbow who was trying to contact me but my phone was dying. Rainbow, you know what you said about going for coffee? I haven't drunk coffee for 8days I never can when I'm . Good luck with getting the tickets you want. Best eating day: yoghurt with fruit, roll with Marmite, sliced chicken with swede/potato mash Good luck with the flat search PK I watch Homes under the Hammer and weep at the price of property up north

Yeah, but look at the state of the featured properties. In reality, decent homes are certainly cheaper than where you and mum live but prices have jumped in many areas, making up some ground.
I need to look at places accessible by bus from Midhurst or Chichester if I opt to be closer to mum.

Hey! Quiet Saturday, some thunderstorms so B went and picked us up some Chinese food across the river. We ate and watched a movie...Mowgli...the live/cgi action one, and it was a lot more violent than the Disney one...no animals singing along with a cute little Mowgli! Kinda off putting! Ditto, all your pics have been popping up one by one. FB is really weird, I think I'm getting all my friends' posts, but they pop up randomly days after they post! Not sure why! I hope you're having a good weekend! Rainbow, that is going to be so much fun! I think Lion King has been here a couple of times at downtown venues, but the prices are high, and I wouldn't go alone downtown! Deedee, you are a super sleuth finding out all the details so quickly! Is LK at a theater year round? I hope you made it to your bed last night, and had a good sleep! Pluto, glad your appetite is coming back, make you feel better! Online shopping can be tricky, I start making a list all week long, and I sometimes add things the night before...you're allowed to revise your order until 2am the morning of your order. With you being sick, I'm guessing you were just winging it! Dealing with other people's finances must be difficult, not always knowing what's what! Any birthday plans for next weekend, if you're well enough? PK, the bus service would be handy for friends and your mom to visit! Good luck with the search! Teebs, hope you've had a good weekend so far! Take care all...hugs!
