PK is going to like this!! :)

Just up on the FB page (Im not a member yet, but I have my sources....! ;))

James will be going into the voice studio to work on the BBC radio production of “Then We Came To The End” by Joshua Ferris and adapted for radio by Jeff Young. Kate Mcall will direct. The radio transmission is currently scheduled for Friday, December 11, 2009 at 14:15 on Radio 4. We will post more details as we get them.

Heh, I was just bringing that ;D

I'm dead chuffed coz I listen to Radio 4 all the time and they have some cracking plays (I was sniffling at one on Tuesday, it was so good).

Did Kate direct one of the Torchwood plays? I think she did.

That's why I thought you would like it PK - I know you are an avid Radio 4 listener!!

I just checked the date and thats the day Im doing a linedance birthday party for someone and a social dance in the evening! At least I will be able to listen to some of it on the way to the party! (and then catch up online after) ;D

And having seen the cover, now I recognise it - it was one of the Richard and Judy Raeding Club books - probably from last year - Ive stared at that cover often enough at work! :)

I missed that book...sounds just my cup of tea an'all...must get Deb to get me a second-hand one. What part is James playing so I can have his voice in mind for when reading the book? 8-)

Now it's on at 9-00 instead of 2-15, I stand a much better chance of missing it! I'll try to remember.

ETA - I remembered! That was entertaining, although I kept having office flashbacks (especially the serial numbers on furniture, oh god! ;D ). Good voice from The Voice ;D

Not sure how I feel about the play itself, definitely a bit odd - but James was wonderful - loads of airtime, he had by far the biggest role. And he sounds amazing, totally gorgeous voice.

Having been listening to the Dresden files in the car today, James's delivery in this is similar at times, but mostly very modulated, the calm storyteller against all the frantic madness of the office. And it was mesmerising, just listening to the cadence of his words - the last lines gave me a little frisson down my spine!
